Sports Pricing
With all sports photography services, if the event, awards ceremony, or session is being held in a location that requires me to purchase a temporary business licence, then the cost of that licence will be added to the retainer fee. The reason is so that I can purchase the business licence ahead of time so that there are no issues during your event, awards ceremony, or session with municipal authorities.
For general sports sessions, if you would like your photos to be taken in both indoor and outdoor settings, then two 1-hour sessions will be booked – one for the indoor session, and one for the outdoor session. This will be considered as booking a 2-hour session. Please note that the sessions will not be booked consecutively if it is not feasible due to the distance between the locations of the settings. Please also note that if either 1-hour session requires more than the allotted time, then extra charges will will apply for each additional hour required at normal rates.
Sporting Events and Awards Ceremonies
If you require me to take photos for a sporting event or an awards ceremony, my rate is $400/hr. A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the initial total cost is required immediately upon booking me as your photographer for events and awards ceremonies that last longer than an hour. For events and awards ceremonies that only will last for an hour, then a non-refundable retainer of $200 is required upon booking. Any cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made no later than one (1) month prior to the event or awards ceremony.
For sporting events and awards ceremonies being held outside of Calgary, mileage will be charged per kilometre if I am able to drive there, and will be added to your invoice. If an overnight stay in your city or town is required, the following additional travel costs will apply:
- food
- accommodation
If the event or awards ceremony is being held in a location where I have to fly, then the following travel costs will apply:
- food
- accommodation
- additional travel costs such as plane tickets, cab fare, car rental, parking, and/or gas
League Games
My rate for league games is $300/hr. If you need me for more than an hour, a non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total cost is required immediately upon booking me as your photographer. 1-hour games require a $150 retainer. Any league game that is being held outside of Calgary, but within a 3-hour driving radius of Calgary, will be subject to a mileage charge that will be added to your invoice.
Team Photos and Awards Recipient Sessions
For team photos and awards recipients sessions, the session will be for a maximum of two (2) hours, and the following per-image fees will be charged:
- 1st Photo: $250
- Additional Photos: $200 each
Furthermore, with team photo sessions, if you would like player portraits to be taken as part of the same session, then the rates for these photos would be the same as individual portraits – that is, $175 for the first photo, and $125 for each subsequent photo. In this case, where both team photos and player portraits have to be taken in the session, the time required may go over two (2) hours.
An $175 non-refundable retainer is required immediately upon booking the session. Any requests for rescheduling or cancelling your session must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Except under special circumstances, requests to cancel or reschedule the session that are made within 48 hours of the appointment will be rejected.
If the session is being held outside of Calgary, then mileage will be charged per kilometre, and will be added to your invoice.
General Sports Photography
My rates for general sports photography are as follows:
- $800 for a one (1) hour session
- $1000 for a two (2) hour session
- $500/hr for each additional hour required beyond two (2) hours
- half-day and full-day rates are available upon request
