Portrait Pricing

All portrait sessions, whether regular or corporate/business headshot, will be for a maximum of two hours.

Regular Portraits

For all regular portrait sessions, the following per-image rates apply:

• 1st Photo: $175
• Additional Photos: $125 each

A $100 non-refundable retainer is required immediately upon booking your session.  If the session is being held in a location that requires me to purchase a temporary business licence, then the cost of that licence will be added to your retainer fee payment.  The reason is so that I can purchase a business licence ahead of time and avoid any issues during the event with municipal authorities.  Any requests for rescheduling or cancelling your appointment must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your session.  Except under special circumstances, requests to cancel or reschedule the session that are made within 48 hours of the appointment will be rejected.

Please be advised that if you are intending to use your portraits for commercial purposes (examples include authors, professional bloggers, and freelancers who aren’t officially business owners), then a flat licensing fee of $500 is required.  This fee will be added to your final invoice.

If the session is being held outside of Calgary, then mileage will be charged per kilometre, and will be added to your invoice.

Corporate and Business Headshots

For all corporate and business headshot sessions, the following per-image rates apply:

• 1st photo: $300
• Additional photos: $250 each
• Group photos: $275 each

A $250 non-refundable retainer is required immediately upon booking your session.  If the session is being held in a place that requires me to purchase a temporary business licence, then that fee will be added onto your retainer fee payment.  The reason for this is so that I can purchase the business licence ahead of time and avoid any issues with the local municipal authorities.  Any requests for rescheduling or cancelling your appointment must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your session.  Except under special circumstances, requests to cancel or reschedule the session that are made within 48 hours of the appointment will be rejected.

If the session is being held outside of Calgary, then mileage will be charged per kilometre, and will be added to your invoice.

Furthermore, because these images will be used for commercial purposes, a licensing fee will also be added to your invoice.  The fee will be based on how long you intend to use the images, as well as how many total images you require.  The fee ranges from $400 for a one-year usage of one photo, to $6000 for a ten-year usage of 30 photos.  When you make your inquiry to me, please be sure to let me know how long you would like to license the photos for, and how many photos you need.
