Event Pricing
My rates for events are as follows:
- Events organized by individuals – $200/hr
- Family Events – $200/hr
- Non-profit Events – $250/hr
- Non-Sports Awards Ceremonies – $275/hr
- Corporate and Business Events – $300/hr
For all events lasting more than an hour, a non-refundable retainer of 50% of the initial total cost is required immediately upon booking me as your photographer. Events lasting for only an hour require the following retainers to be paid, depending on the type of event:
- Events organized by individuals – $125
- Family Events – $125
- Non-profit Events – $150
- Non-sports Awards Ceremonies – $175
- Corporate and Business events – $200
If the location where your event or awards ceremony is being held requires me to purchase a temporary business licence, then the cost of that licence will be added to your retainer fee payment. The reason is so that I can purchase a business licence ahead of time and avoid any issues during the event or awards ceremony with municipal authorities.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made no later than one (1) month prior to the date of your event if you’re booking months in advance, and no later than 48 hours prior to your event if booking a few days to a few weeks in advance.
If the event is outside of Calgary, but I am able to drive there, then mileage will be charged per kilometre, and will added to your invoice. If your event requires me to stay overnight in the city of town where it is being held, or requires a few nights to stay in that city or town, then the following travel costs will be added to your invoice:
- food
- accommodation
If the event requires me to fly there, then the following travel costs will be added to your invoice:
- food
- accommodation
- other costs such as plane tickets, cab fare, car rental, parking, and/or gas
